This is your chance to meet other vegans who want to do the same. There are thousands in South Australia who don't eat animals.
We first met New Years Day 2005 -- We have found lots in common including raw food, growing food, the environment, animal rights and travel -- Lots of discussion of food sourcing and preparation -- Sharing food has been great.
Over 100 vegans have joined so far. Travellers drop in so we are starting to link with interstate and overseas groups.
A few vegetarians in transition to vegan turn up.
We have dinner (some just have a drink) each first and third Friday in the month at City venues. One or two dozen usually show up. We have been to Bliss, Thea, Vegetarian Delight, Vego and Loven it, Zenhouse, Teahouse and Coffee for Others and Vegetarian Garden. Other things happen, like shared picnics.
Other Fridays we go to Pure Vegetarian in the Central Market - no need to book - vegetarians and meat-eaters can come too.
