I moved to Adelaide from California recently. Also, I was an on again off again high raw (80%) foodist before arriving in Australia where produce is so expensive and I'm always the only vegetarian around.

Hi everyone, I decided to go vegan after having my first child. I had been a lacto-vegetarian for approx 8 years prior to this. I chose to be vegetarian/vegan for all reasons - including ethical, health & environmental. I would love to meet other vegans in Adelaide, especially other vegan parents!:)

My name is sarah, I'm 25 years old, a single mother of 3 young children and have always loved animals and nature.
It's only in the last couple of years that I began to question myself. How can I claim to be a fighter of animal rights when I eat them?
Also concerned about the environmental impact humans are having on the earth, I googled it.
I watched 'Earthlings' and that was it for me. No more flesh will pass my lips.
I'm finding being vegetarian quite easy to do, but my ultimate goal is to become a vegan eater.

Hi, I'm James Byrne (also known as Dylan James when performing in my duo, The Wandering Minstrels). I have been vegetarian since 2002 and into raw foods and veganism since that time. In November, 2008 I made the choice to be and stay a vegan, and also to be free from drugs including alcohol and tobacco. I believe in the power of caring and compassionate people to make changes to the world through the choices they make, and encourage anyone and everyone to adopt a vegan diet for yourself, animals and our planet.
