How long have you been vegan? Since 1999
Veg testimony... when I was 15 I woke up to what was happening to the animals that I'd previously been eating as 'food' and was veganist from 1991, going vegan in 1999. Four years of being the only vegan I knew led me to find others and help spread the message.
I wished I'd been told earlier! :)
I believe in positive activism. Advocating to stop animal suffering involves exposure to a lot of pretty awful stuff but there are so many positive ways to share the message of kindness to animals.
I 'freelance' now and work with many groups across Australia. My ethos is that when there's a job that needs doing and no one else will do it, that's where I get involved. Most of the time I don't put my name to my work but if you're an activist it's likely that you've seen or used some of it from time to time. :)
