Hi, My name is Jo and I have been a Vegan for only a short time after being a vegetarian for a few years. I never thought I'd make the leap but it was one of those lightbulb moments. I look forward to meeting other like minded people. I live in the Adelaide Hills with my 2 children, 2 dogs and cat.

Turning vegan after serious consideration where meat/eggs/milk was coming from and how it was produced. Have a non vegan family, but hope to convert at least one family meal per week to vegan.

I have been vegetarion since May 2007, and actually started as vegan then, but found it too hard to sustain (Often working away from hometown). Since then I would say I am 95% vegan, very occasionally eating eggs and cheese, and drinking cow's milk in my coffee once a day. I would really like to be 100% vegan, for ecological reasons, including energy resource use in the light of peak oil and energy descent; for health; and for ethics. My 3yr old is 95% vegetarion (not vegan) and I would like him to grow up being used to veganism, so he can make an informed choice later. I am interested in eventually going RAW!
